What are your candles made of?

Our candles are made with 100% soy wax and quality fragrance oils, then hand poured in small batches in Tampa, Florida. Soy wax comes from a renewable source and provides a cleaner burn than paraffin wax.

We use clean fragrances with no phthalates, parabens, or known carcinogens, and our candles are made without paraffin or hormone-disrupting ingredients.

How do I choose a scent?

Each candle includes its fragrance notes to help you get an idea of what it smells like. We also love helping customers find a scent based on their favorite places, memories, or fragrance preferences.

How should I care for my candle?

Always trim your wick to 1/4 inch before each burn. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and always keep it away from children, pets, and anything flammable.

For the best experience, allow the candle to burn long enough to create a full melt pool across the entire surface of the candle before extinguishing it.

How long should I burn my candle the first time?

Because soy wax has memory, your first burn is especially important. We recommend burning your candle for at least 2–3 hours the first time.

You are looking for a full melt pool across the top of the candle before extinguishing it. If you extinguish the candle before the wax has melted completely across the surface, the wax can begin to tunnel down the center of the container during future burns.

How long should I burn my candle?

For the best experience, avoid burning your candle for extended periods at a time. Allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface while following the recommended burn instructions included with your candle.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Why does my candle look wet on the sides of the jar?

No worries! You may occasionally notice what looks like a wet or darker appearance along the sides of your jar. This is simply how soy wax cools and may pull away from the glass as it sets.

This is a natural characteristic of soy wax and does not affect the quality or performance of your candle.

Why does my candle wax sometimes look billowy or like snow?

As soy wax cools, it can cool at different temperatures and create a billowy, textured, or snow-like appearance on the surface.

This is a normal characteristic of 100% soy wax and does not affect the way your candle burns.

Why does my wick sometimes have a "mushroom" at the end?

You may notice a small buildup, or "mushroom," at the end of your wick during or after a burn. This is not unusual with our candles.

Our wicks are made with braided paper, which can naturally result in a little more mushrooming. It does not necessarily indicate a problem with your candle.

Simply keep your wick trimmed to approximately 1/4 inch between burns. If you notice significant mushrooming during a burn, you can safely extinguish the candle, allow it to cool completely, and trim the wick before relighting.

Why does my candle look different from another?

Because our candles are hand poured in small batches, slight variations in color, texture, and appearance may occur.

These unique characteristics are part of what makes each candle special and are a natural result of working with soy wax.

Do you offer room sprays?

Yes! Our room sprays are available in many of our signature scents. Shake well before using and follow the directions on the bottle.

Do you offer wax melts?

Yes! Our wax melts are available in a variety of Taking You There scents and are designed to fill your space with fragrance without a traditional candle flame.

Do you offer different candle vessels?

Yes! We offer candles in a variety of vessel styles, colors, and sizes. Availability may vary by scent and collection.
